Benefit Hello Flawless

Benefit always get their packaging spot on!
On a little trip into town so my friend could get her eyebrows done (read my experience at the Benefit Brow Bar here) I accidentally made a purchase at Benefit.

It started off with the girl who worked there just trying a little bit on my jawline so I could see the colour and ended up with her taking my whole base off and redoing it using Hello Flawless, £26.50, and some other products I wanted to try. I obviously then bought the foundation, it'd be rude not to!

So happy I'm not the palest shade
Mine is in the shade 'Believe in me ivory' and is the second palest shade they do. The foundation has  an 'oxygen wow hydrating complex' and helps to boost cellular respiration for a plumping effect. These are very bold claims I have to say. It's oil free with SPF 25 so could cause flashback if you're in pictures on a night out!

First things first, the packaging. It. Is. Amazing. The box is gorgeous and even the packaging of the foundation is beautiful. Its casing is transparent so you can see how much you have left and what I really like is that there's a disk at the bottom which raises as the tube empties so you get all of the product out. The tube is plastic which I think can feel a bit cheap but overall I still think it looks amazing.

In the box I got the foundation, a little paper leaflet giving you a little info about the foundation and, saving the best for last, a sample of the Stay Flawless primer. I have to say the primer and foundation together is just perfection. You blend the primer in with the foundation rather than doing two separate steps.

Make up free
The foundation blends really well and has quite a thin texture. Coverage is light to medium but is easily buildable if you want a thicker coverage. If you read my post on Maybelline Fit Me you'll know I usually do two layers of foundation to hide my acne scars but I only did one with this and felt that was enough.

Single layer of Hello Flawless
Although you can still see my scars and blemishes I think it covers them really well
The lasting power is pretty good, it's definitely one you can wear all day. I do have to powder throughout the day but I have pretty oily skin. I was definitely less oily when I used the Stay Flawless primer.

Coverage with a bit of concealer on my blemishes
Finished look!
I would definitely recommend this foundation. It makes my skin look amazing and lasts really well. I do really want the primer now too which is £24.50 so maybe that will have to be my next purchase!

If you want to know about the rest of my make up let me know in the comments!

  1. Woww! This looks brilliant. I suffered with acne too- but I don't really like to wear too much make up because it makes me feel clogged up- I think I will have to take a trip to town and get some of this one though- looks fab.

I love how you "accidentally made a purchase". And you look beautiful with your finished look- which lippy is that?
