First Make Up Purchase in Months!

I know as a beauty blogger you'd expect that I'm buying new make up on a weekly basis but on a student budget, it just isn't possible. I haven't bought any new make up in at least a couple of months which, for me, is insane. When I was working I was buying new products all the time and I'm definitely missing it! I'm now getting to the point where everything is running out and I'm in desperate need of some new concealer so I decided it was finally time to spend some money.

Collection Lasting Perfection concealer is one of my staples. Essentially every beauty blogger uses it and there's a reason for that. It gives outstanding coverage and is so cheap at only £4.19. I use the shade Fair as Cool Medium is slightly too dark for my winter skin and this is the perfect shade for highlighting under my eyes. My current tube isn't quite finished but I thought I'd buy a back up!

I've heard really good reviews of the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer but for some reason have never got around to trying it. This is slightly more expensive than Collection at £5.49 but from what I've heard it's definitely worth that little bit more. I picked up the shade Ivory which I'm hoping won't be too dark for me... Fingers crossed! This is supposed to have an instant anti-fatigue effect which I'm praying will make my under eye bags look a little better - I'll get back to you on that one.

In my constant search for the perfect nude, I got J Lo's Nude from the Colour Riche Exclusive L'Oreal line. I can't remember who, but one of the beauty gurus I watch said this was a really good nude for pale skin. Because it's a slightly darker nude, I'm hoping it'll be a good colour without washing my lips out and giving me that concealer lips look! I think £6.99 is a pretty good price for a lipstick, especially a L'Oreal one.

Let me know if you want a review of the Wake Me Up or J Lo's nude!

Bristol Student Sessions Haul

This is gonna be a long one.. I suggest you get yourself a cuppa!
Oopsie
If you're a student, I'm sure you'll have heard of the Student Sessions or Lock Ins that big cities host. They're an evening of shopping dedicated to students (university or 6th form) and loads of shops get involved to give special offers, discounts and giveaways. Essentially, it's a shopping addicts dream!
My friends and I chose to go to the Bristol night rather than Bath as they have a few shops we don't have here and their shops are also bigger. Everyone loves a little road trip.

The Body Shop
Offer: 10% off, free membership, £10 off £25 spend or free goodie bag with £25 spend, 3 for 2 on skincare
I adore the tea tree collection.
I knew there was a lot of bits I wanted from The Body Shop as I have got really into their tea tree range and find it's really helping my acne.
I picked up the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion, £3, and Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil, £13, which I already use and love. I have the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser but have heard really good reviews of the Tea Tree Cool and Creamy Wash, £5, so picked that up.
As I'm sure many acne sufferers will agree, my back is probably one of my worst acne areas, so I picked up the Tea Tree Body Wash, £6, to try and calm that down.
The final tea tree product was the Tea Tree Night Lotion, £9, which I'm going to apply over my serum  at night to help get rid of my spots.
The All-In-One Instablur, £14, took the beauty world by storm and I decided it's finally time to pick it up and try it out. It's a five action perfecter which is supposed to control shine for 12 hours, reduce appearance of pores, hide blemishes, unify complexion and extend make up. Expect a review on this soon!
Finally, I picked up the Wild Argan Oil Solid Oil Lip Balm, £4, as I have seen Fleur de Force raving about the range.

Everybody loves free things.
As I spent such an extortionate amount of money I got a free goodie bag worth just over £20. This contains the Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask, £13, Eye Definer in black, £8, Big & Curvy Mascara, £10, and Camomile Eye Make Up Remover, £8.
Total saving of £42.63!!!

New Look
Offer: 20% off

I wasn't really fussed about any of the clothes in New Look but I'd seen this oversized scarf in there previously and fallen in love with it. Full price is £14.99 and it's so soft and warm, it's definitely going to be an autumn/winter staple.

H&M
Offer: 20% off

I'm always wearing sweaters so when I saw this pug one I couldn't resist. It's quite thick so will definitely keep me warm, I just hope I don't spill anything down it! Full price £14.99 (not on the website).

Pull&Bear
Offer: 20% off

I've never been in here before but I really like the shop. They've got some great bits in there and it's quite cheap! I picked up this gorgeous sweater which my boyfriend agreed looks like it was made specifically for me as I'm a huge floral fan. It's quite thick so perfect for winter. Full price £19.99.

River Island
Offer: 20% off

My final purchase! I saw this when I was out with my boyfriend a while ago but felt full price was too expensive. When I saw River Island had 20% off I knew I was going to buy it. You can really feel the quality of the top and although it's short sleeved the material is quite thick. Full price £18.00.

I'm now banned from shopping for a long time, however I did save a total of £52.63. You have to spend money to save money.

#feelingspendy

My boyfriend was at work today so I thought I would amuse myself by going into town and just picking up a couple of bits... That couple turned into quite a few more than a couple. I cannot be trusted and in true Amelia Liana style I was #feelingspendy.

So first I went to Boots because I had a couple of prescriptions to get and I also wanted a lighter concealer for my ghostly skin. Then I saw Maybelline had a 3 for 2, no one can turn that down.

No one can resist a 3 for 2.
I've heard good reviews about the Anti-age Eraser (mainly from Essie Button) so thought I'd pick it up to cover my ghastly dark circles. I also needed a waterproof mascara as hay fever is making my eyes water like nothing else and smudged mascara is not a good look. I wanted Maybelline The Falsies but they didn't have it in stock (cry cry). Since it was 3 for 2, I thought I'd try out the Maybelline Fit Me foundation, I have the concealer and really like it.

My trusty Topshop jeans are now getting beyond wear and holes are forming so I figured it was probably time to pick up a new pair. I got these Leigh jeans in a really nice dark blue denim. These are my favourite jeans ever. They're so comfy and look amazing.

I also picked up a new lipstick from Topshop, this is 'Charmed' and it's a gorgeous pale orange colour that's perfect for this thing we call the British Summer (I'm currently wearing jeans and a long sleeve top).

Next stop was Lush, I got a bit overexcited because we don't have one where I live anymore and I've wanted to visit one for absolutely ages. I went in just to get the lip scrub and other bits accidentally fell into my basket.

Oopsie
First I picked up the lip scrub I initially went in for. I got the Bubblegum flavour which smells absolutely amazing and after you've used it to scrub your lips you can eat it. Sounds kinda gross and I'm not 100% convinced... We'll see.

Is it gross to eat lip scrubs?
I also picked up a face mask because my face is really dry at the moment, I think it's from the gels I have to put on to help my acne (click here to see that post). I got the BB Seaweed face mask which is a 'relaxing, reviving, mineral-rich mask to cleanse, soften and beautify'. Sounds promising right? Just looks pretty gross. It's got seaweed, kaolin, honey, aloe vera and rose so hopefully it'll help keep my skin clear as well as moisturising.

Lush products just don't look good
I haven't had a bath bomb in such a long time and I thought I would try out a bath melt. I went for the Melting Marshmallow Moment, mainly because it was pink and has cocoa butter in it.

Pink and cocoa butter? Sold.
I was just about to go home when I saw Clinton's had 25% Yankee candles. It's my boyfriend's mum's birthday in a few weeks and I've been umming and ahhing about what to get her and I know she loves Yankee candles. After smelling what felt like hundreds, I settled on Pink Dragonfruit and also picked up a little mini for me as it was only £1.

I need to go to shopping rehab.
