<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am normally a massive fan of Lush products - give me any bath bomb and I will be over the moon whether it's full of glitter or turns my bath multicoloured. I'm not one to read anything about bath bombs before I use them, just chuck them in and hope for the best. The other night I did just that with the <a href="https://www.lush.co.uk/products/big-blue" target="_blank">Big Blue</a> and the remnants of my <a href="https://www.lush.co.uk/products/blue-skies-and-fluffy-white-clouds" target="_blank">Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds</a> bubble bar. Something I wasn't expecting from the bath bomb was a load of seaweed. I'm not gonna lie, it kind of freaked me out.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wiIATnKbqdg/VKwFtZURRLI/AAAAAAAAA4o/ualgWcOtUDo/s1600/IMG_2370.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wiIATnKbqdg/VKwFtZURRLI/AAAAAAAAA4o/ualgWcOtUDo/s1600/IMG_2370.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Lush claim that this will 'evoke a summer's day at the seaside'. The arame seaweed is supposed to soften bath water and help regulate your metabolism. I love everything else about this bath bomb - it contains sea salt to soften the skin and remove dead skin cells, lemon oil to clear the mind and lavender oil which is antiseptic and cleansing. I just couldn't relax while there was seaweed floating around my bath...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sorry Lush, but this is definitely one I won't be repurchasing.</div>

Okay, one word: <b>wow</b>. I genuinely didn't know that I could love make up brushes this much. I always thought that my Real Techniques brushes were as good as it gets. I was wrong. I shall explain...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VKcfBy1CUOs/VJ2WgRYvZgI/AAAAAAAAAzg/lcYfdicKuD0/s1600/IMG_2180.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VKcfBy1CUOs/VJ2WgRYvZgI/AAAAAAAAAzg/lcYfdicKuD0/s1600/IMG_2180.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xilY6kG_Yas/VJ2WAAOIkJI/AAAAAAAAAy4/gimBzp6yaEg/s1600/IMG_2166.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xilY6kG_Yas/VJ2WAAOIkJI/AAAAAAAAAy4/gimBzp6yaEg/s1600/IMG_2166.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Inside there is 8 brushes, making each brush worth just over £7 which is amazing and rivals Real Techniques brushes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dmoiPcMB2o0/VJ2Wft40Z9I/AAAAAAAAAzc/Aj_oGwkQpcQ/s1600/IMG_2178.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dmoiPcMB2o0/VJ2Wft40Z9I/AAAAAAAAAzc/Aj_oGwkQpcQ/s1600/IMG_2178.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-K4ShyTF5yY0/VJ2WecpBLyI/AAAAAAAAAzQ/ImdTX0EB6XE/s1600/IMG_2175.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-K4ShyTF5yY0/VJ2WecpBLyI/AAAAAAAAAzQ/ImdTX0EB6XE/s1600/IMG_2175.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; text-align: start;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; text-align: start;">Each brush has a black handle, rose gold ferrule and rose gold writing. To look at, the brushes are absolutely gorgeous which I'm not going to lie, is part of the reason I wanted them. Some also come with little plastic slip, I presume either to protect the brushes or to stop transfer of product in your make up bag. These little cases do really irritate me though as they don't stay on the brushes and end up loose in your make up bag so I think I'll get rid of them.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; text-align: start;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; text-align: start;">Bristles are either white, brown with white tips or plain brown (wing liner) which I quite like as you can see how dirty they are. </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit; text-align: start;">Each brush is so soft to the touch and the bristles are really densely packed. You don't get shedding which is a major plus for me as I'm not continually picking brush hairs of my face. They distribute product so evenly and leave your make up looking flawless.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; text-align: start;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The set contains 5 face bru<span style="font-family: inherit;">shes and 3 eye brushes. As seen above top to bottom:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit; text-align: start;"><b><i>106 Powder Brush </i></b>- the perfect right size to set your foundation with powder, you could also use it for bronzing all over.</span></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit; text-align: start;"><b><i>102 Silk Finish Brush</i></b> - a definite dupe for the Real Techniques buffing brush but better. It really does give a silky finish.</span></div>
<span style="background-color: white; text-align: start;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; text-align: start;"><b><i>127 Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush </i></b>- I have never come across a better blush brush, truly.</span></div>
<span style="background-color: white; text-align: start;">
</span><span style="font-family: inherit;"></span>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit; text-align: start;"><b><i>110 Face Shape Brush</i></b> - ideal for contouring under the cheekbones and around the temples.</span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span><span style="font-family: inherit;"><div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit; text-align: start;"><b><i>142 Concealer Buffer</i></b> - my brush of choice when it comes to Collection Lasting Perfection or Rimmel Wake Me Up.</span></div>
</span><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit; text-align: start;"><b><i>227 Soft Definer</i></b> - a perfect blending brush.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit; text-align: start;"><b><i>231 Petite Crease Brush</i></b> - defining the crease has never been so easy and precise.</span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
<span style="background-color: white; text-align: start;"></span></span>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: start;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b><i>317 Wing Liner Brush</i></b> - I only wear wing liner using liquid liner so I think I'll use this for my brows. I did use it wet with Blackheart and it was perfect for getting tight to the lashline.</span></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: start;">
</span></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;">There is not a single brush in this set that I'm disappointed in. The real stand-out brushes for me are the Petite Crease Brush, Silk Finish Brush and Face Shape Brush.</span><span style="background-color: white;"> </span><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: start;">If you're looking into buying new brushes I would 100% recommend these. They have every brush you need for a starter set or for additions to an already existing collection. If I didn't have a make up addiction, this set would do me for the rest of my days.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: start;"><br /></span></span></div>

I know everyone says it, but 2014 was a big year for me. I turned 21, found myself in a new relationship and went back to university after having a gap year. Even though I began the year working full time and ended it being at university, I still managed to somehow sneak in 4 holidays although one was only a weekend. I really wanted to write a post and share some pictures from the year.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>January</b> the month I met my boyfriend and also got my kitten who's now 1 year old which seems crazy. She's still tiny and incredibly anti-social but having a kitten helped me through some tough times so I love her to pieces.</div>

In<b> February</b> I flew alone for the first time which was a massive thing for me. I flew from Southend to Dundee where my best friend was on placement for a snuggly, rainy weekend. I also went to Paris for a few days with my other best friend which was <b>amazing</b>.</div>

In <b>July </b>I started my blog (read my first post <a href="http://vanillabeautyx.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/the-word.html" target="_blank">here</a>) and went to Wales for a week with my boyfriend. I couldn't believe the weather when we were over there. It was 28 degrees and above everyday and just the perfect week. The day we came home we picked up his puppy Buddy who is now a firm staple in our lives.</div>

The final few months were made up of university work, trips home and time with my boyfriend. I brought in the New Year with my boyfriend and his parents with a lovely meal and cuddling Buddy as he was terrified of the fireworks. I'm looking forward to 2015 more than I can explain and can't wait to see what the blogging world brings!<br />

<b>Simple Kind to Skin Replenishing Moisturiser: </b>My normally very oily skin has recently decided to switch to being dry so this has been my best friend this month. It's such an inexpensive, basic moisturiser that's perfect for anyone with dry skin or if you want a no-fuss moisturiser.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express: </b>I'll admit, when I first bought this I really wasn't sure about it. At first I found it very messy but I have had it for a few months now so it's dried out a little and get on with it much better. This brush is <b>outstanding</b> at separating lashes. I tend to use a different mascara first to give me some length and then layer this on to give me lots of volume. I'll definitely repurchase this.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Epiduo: </b>Anyone who suffers with acne, this is your best friend. After my latest acne flare up I decided I needed to get this back into my skincare routine and get my spots under control. This has both antibacterial and drying properties which means spots are reduced and less sore. Even after one use I can tell the difference in my skin. There's only two downsides - 1. it makes my skin very very dry and 2. it's prescription. If you suffer from acne, get down to your doctors and ask for this!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer: </b>A recent buy of mine but a really impressive concealer. It's a lot thinner than my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection but doesn't give a reduced coverage. It has an anti-fatigue effect so is perfect for under eyes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Benefit Hoola: </b>I think this is the perfect contour shade. Recently I have been reaching for this over my Sleek Face Form which is really saying something. In the pan it looks terrifying but it blends out to such a gorgeous shade without looking muddy. Mine is from a gift set but full size is £23.50 which I really think is worth it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IZ_BmtITr1o/VJ2XBshXtGI/AAAAAAAAAzo/EwcL8QhFJFY/s1600/IMG_2185.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IZ_BmtITr1o/VJ2XBshXtGI/AAAAAAAAAzo/EwcL8QhFJFY/s1600/IMG_2185.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZelNAdkpuWo/VJ2XDtroZcI/AAAAAAAAAz0/dtmSkMrOvSU/s1600/IMG_2186.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZelNAdkpuWo/VJ2XDtroZcI/AAAAAAAAAz0/dtmSkMrOvSU/s1600/IMG_2186.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My boyfriend's parents were very, very generous and bought me Nars Sheer Glow for Christmas. I have been lusting after this for a long, long time and can't believe I finally have it. Before putting this on my Christmas wishlist, I read more reviews/blogs than I should probably admit to before deciding the only way to know if I'd like it was to try it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I did something risky and didn't get matched but rather guessed my shade. As my skin tone resembles snow, I knew I'd be either the palest or second palest shade. I googled colour swatches about 5 times (using <a href="http://karlasugar.net/2009/10/nars-sheer-glow-foundation/" target="_blank">this</a> blogpost) and checked the colour description on the <a href="http://narscosmetics.co.uk/en_GB/makeup-face-foundation/0607845060468.html" target="_blank">Nars website</a> before settling on Gobi. Gobi is Light 3 - light with a yellow undertone which describes my skin perfectly. If you are pale with a pink tone then Mont Blanc will be your shade. Siberia is one for the pale neutral girls.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PWMjWrJQDlo/VJ2XZvY4aQI/AAAAAAAAA0U/Z2PMp-1qe_Y/s1600/IMG_2195.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PWMjWrJQDlo/VJ2XZvY4aQI/AAAAAAAAA0U/Z2PMp-1qe_Y/s1600/IMG_2195.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I really love the packaging of this foundation. Any high-end foundations I would expect to be in glass bottles and look expensive and this definitely doesn't disappoint. You get 30ml or 1 fl. oz for £31 which I think is pretty good. Packaging wise, the only let down for me is the lack of pump. Pouring it out makes me a bit nervous but MAC foundations also don't come with pumps - must be a high-end thing!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tSCi9x6MUsQ/VJ2XGoWQs9I/AAAAAAAAAz8/P5QxLwZaDxg/s1600/IMG_2193.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tSCi9x6MUsQ/VJ2XGoWQs9I/AAAAAAAAAz8/P5QxLwZaDxg/s1600/IMG_2193.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8aVMh9FWMYU/VJ2XA4S_foI/AAAAAAAAAzk/f5KxoZeD_fI/s1600/IMG_2191.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8aVMh9FWMYU/VJ2XA4S_foI/AAAAAAAAAzk/f5KxoZeD_fI/s1600/IMG_2191.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The formula itself is quite watery which you would expect as it's a sheer foundation. Although it's sheer, coverage is definitely buildable and two thin layers can give a medium coverage. Lately I have been putting a base layer of concealer on my acne scars but for purposes of reviewing this foundation, I didn't. Sheer Glow is also non-comedogenic which is perfect for acne prone skin!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KuRy5nc2fdc/VJ2XOD-uq3I/AAAAAAAAA0E/1E-MXTEY1tA/s1600/IMG_2200.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KuRy5nc2fdc/VJ2XOD-uq3I/AAAAAAAAA0E/1E-MXTEY1tA/s1600/IMG_2200.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NBNoAqZr7OQ/VJ2XZu11GBI/AAAAAAAAA0Y/vVYJju51Xic/s1600/IMG_2197.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NBNoAqZr7OQ/VJ2XZu11GBI/AAAAAAAAA0Y/vVYJju51Xic/s1600/IMG_2197.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As soon as I put this on my skin and started blending it out, I could tell it was a luxury foundation. This blended out <b>amazingly</b>. A really small amount of foundation gave a thin, even layer and I added a little extra on areas of discolouration and scars. I think it's covered my scars amazingly, far better than any drugstore foundation (sorry True Match). The colour is <b>absolutely perfect</b> for me which is something I have never found before. My only issue is that it's clung to some of my dry patches which have emerged as a result of my acne cream but I am due a good face scrub. The foundation gives silky, real looking skin. It also doesn't transfer which is a big bonus.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0pI1ee3Tx-c/VJ2XVDsbr7I/AAAAAAAAA0M/39nE_fxDTOQ/s1600/IMG_2231.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0pI1ee3Tx-c/VJ2XVDsbr7I/AAAAAAAAA0M/39nE_fxDTOQ/s1600/IMG_2231.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Above is the finished product with a little added concealer on blemishes. I didn't powder my face as I wanted to see what it would do without being set. I did my make up at about 10.30am and as I write this it is 5.30pm and my face is slightly glowing (as the name would suggest) but nothing too extreme. It's a glow that's definitely welcomed considering how dull my skin has been looking. In future I think I will set it, just to keep from too much shine. I'm really impressed that it hasn't set into my expression lines which happens a lot with my thicker drugstore foundations.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Overall, I think this foundation is amazing. It's definitely lived up to the hype and I would recommend it to anyone who's thinking about it!</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The silence is broken, I hope to get into a more regular routine in the new year!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is the final post in my little Make-Up Brush Collection. Since beginning this mini series I have added to my brush collection in the form of the Zoeva Rose Gold brushes which I will be doing a post on soon! I've only recently got into eyeshadow since getting my Naked 3 palette and the majority of my brushes aren't that good.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Avon Blending Brush:</b> I've had this for as long as I can remember. Avon is a pretty cheap brand that sell good quality make up and brushes and this doesn't let them down. I think it only cost about £3 when I bought it. It's really soft, the brush itself is dense and it's excellent for blending. I strongly recommend checking out Avon brushes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Urban Decay Double Ended:</b> I'm sure many people now have this brush as it comes with the Naked palettes. I actually really like this brush and it comes in really handy. I use the thinner end to put eyeshadow in my crease before blending out and the thicker end to pack eyeshadow on. I definitely want to check out other UD brushes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Avon Liner Brush: </b>Another good, cheap brush. This is perfect for getting liner really close to the lash line. Paired with Darkside or Blackheart from Naked 3, it's perfect for non-liquid liner days. Again, I think it was about £3 or £4?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Benefit Hard Angle Brush:</b> This is at least 4 years old and is still going strong. You can find a newer version <a href="https://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk/product/view/hard-angle-definer-brush" target="_blank">here</a> which is £16.50, such a good price for the quality. I use this for my brows when I'm using my <a href="https://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk/product/view/brow-zings" target="_blank">Brow Zings</a>. If you're looking for a hard angle brush definitely check this out.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Teez Flat Stiff Brush: </b>I know it says stiff in the name but my god this is a hard brush. I very very rarely use it because it actually hurts my eyelids a little. I got this in a Glossybox and tend to only use it as a last resort. I wouldn't recommend.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Topshop Blending Brush:</b> This is one I can't quit make my mind up about. The bristles are very very short so there's not much movement in them. I tend to use this for highlighting my brow bone and the inner corner. This has actually been discontinued but I'm not sure I'd buy another Topshop brush.</div>

<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VkbkgV-etBQ/VI7nL_8vglI/AAAAAAAAAyc/GnzV3v6WyjA/s1600/IMG_2067.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VkbkgV-etBQ/VI7nL_8vglI/AAAAAAAAAyc/GnzV3v6WyjA/s1600/IMG_2067.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TVoHpuDefjo/VI7nL8JW-tI/AAAAAAAAAyg/ATvTLIGqkfg/s1600/IMG_2068.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TVoHpuDefjo/VI7nL8JW-tI/AAAAAAAAAyg/ATvTLIGqkfg/s1600/IMG_2068.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In the seasons where your lips are already dry and dark lips are a staple, a good lip scrub is definitely needed. Lipstick always looks better when your lips have been properly prepped before hand. Scrubs can also come in useful when you can't get that dark lipstick off at night. I am a massive fan of the <a href="https://www.lush.co.uk/products/bubblegum" target="_blank">Lush Lip Scrubs</a> as they're made from a mixture of natural ingredients and safe synthetics. Obviously it's possible to make your own lip scrub at home, but if you're lazy like me it's easier to just pick up a tub at £5.50! I've had mine for quite a few months now and it's still going strong (some Lush products can go 'off').</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There's only 6 ingredients in this scrub - caster sugar, organic jojoba oil, methyl ionone, flavour and colours 45410 and 45380. The way that the scrub is made means you can actually eat it after you've scrubbed your lips which I know sounds weird, just trust me. You can also get this lip scrub in mint, popcorn and Christmas limited edition cherry. It's 100% trying out if you're a dry lipped girl! The sugar means it's the perfect amount of abrasive without being too harsh and painful. You do end up with little bits of sugar around your mouth so I'd recommend using it in front of a mirror where you can see what you're doing. The result? Lips are left smooth, free of dead skin and ready for lip balm or your chosen lipstick.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Let me know if you've tried out the other flavours!</div>

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eVOAmxPGSgE/VIyPiZCaxgI/AAAAAAAAAyE/CK76ZCZQsxE/s1600/IMG_2050.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eVOAmxPGSgE/VIyPiZCaxgI/AAAAAAAAAyE/CK76ZCZQsxE/s1600/IMG_2050.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I know as a beauty blogger you'd expect that I'm buying new make up on a weekly basis but on a student budget, it just isn't possible. I haven't bought any new make up in at least a couple of months which, for me, is insane. When I was working I was buying new products all the time and I'm definitely missing it! I'm now getting to the point where everything is running out and I'm in desperate need of some new concealer so I decided it was finally time to spend some money.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Collection-Lasting-Perfection-Concealer_1436032/" target="_blank">Collection Lasting Perfection</a> concealer is one of my staples. Essentially every beauty blogger uses it and there's a reason for that. It gives outstanding coverage and is so cheap at only £4.19. I use the shade Fair as Cool Medium is slightly too dark for my winter skin and this is the perfect shade for highlighting under my eyes. My current tube isn't quite finished but I thought I'd buy a back up!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've heard really good reviews of the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-Wake-Me-Up-Concealer_1253837/" target="_blank">Rimmel Wake Me Up</a> concealer but for some reason have never got around to trying it. This is slightly more expensive than Collection at £5.49 but from what I've heard it's definitely worth that little bit more. I picked up the shade Ivory which I'm hoping won't be too dark for me... Fingers crossed! This is supposed to have an instant anti-fatigue effect which I'm praying will make my under eye bags look a little better - I'll get back to you on that one.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wyLSSuyktJI/VIyPibEvbYI/AAAAAAAAAyI/ZfAI0KfBP9I/s1600/IMG_2051.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wyLSSuyktJI/VIyPibEvbYI/AAAAAAAAAyI/ZfAI0KfBP9I/s1600/IMG_2051.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In my constant search for the perfect nude, I got <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/LOreal-Paris-Color-Riche-Exclusive-Nudes_1369339/" target="_blank">J Lo's Nude</a> from the Colour Riche Exclusive L'Oreal line. I can't remember who, but one of the beauty gurus I watch said this was a really good nude for pale skin. Because it's a slightly darker nude, I'm hoping it'll be a good colour without washing my lips out and giving me that concealer lips look! I think £6.99 is a pretty good price for a lipstick, especially a L'Oreal one.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MmzGmqgGee8/VIsNFkYxYcI/AAAAAAAAAwo/EnhWD3A17yQ/s1600/IMG_1959.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MmzGmqgGee8/VIsNFkYxYcI/AAAAAAAAAwo/EnhWD3A17yQ/s1600/IMG_1959.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As you can see, my skin at the moment is <b>not good</b>. If you read my Autumn/Winter skincare update you'll know I made the (probably very silly) decision to come off my antibiotics. For months my skin has been fine but now I am home it is breaking out in an extreme way. I'm trying to work out what it is that my skin is reacting to but in the mean time I have the issue of covering my spots.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Before putting on foundation, I use my Erase Paste on any really red spots or scars to try and counteract the discolouration. I apply this with my Real Techniques Detailer Brush as it's small enough to only get concealer in the places you really need it. I've done a post about my love for Erase Paste before that you can read <a href="http://vanillabeautyx.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/monday-must-have.html" target="_blank">here</a>. I blend this out with the Real Techniques Foundation Brush and then move onto foundation. You can see from the picture that it masks the redness of spots, giving a bit of a more even base to apply foundation to. After foundation, I then top up the really red areas with a bit more concealer (usually Erase Paste) before powdering. I also use my Real Techniques Foundation Brush to add extra powder to any spotty areas to give a little more coverage.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-flOn-thmFhU/VIsNIroOrFI/AAAAAAAAAxk/zYfDzHkDsKU/s1600/IMG_1984.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-flOn-thmFhU/VIsNIroOrFI/AAAAAAAAAxk/zYfDzHkDsKU/s1600/IMG_1984.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BzA2woej-qY/VIsNJIIt-kI/AAAAAAAAAxg/qkJOyr-1Gb4/s1600/IMG_1988.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BzA2woej-qY/VIsNJIIt-kI/AAAAAAAAAxg/qkJOyr-1Gb4/s1600/IMG_1988.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You can still see my spots - I don't think I'll ever be able to fully cover them - but initial layer of concealer definitely helps.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
How do you cover bad break outs?!</div>

</tbody></table>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
<b>Barry M Powder Brush: </b>I love big, fluffy brushes to set my foundation with powder. After my last one fell apart, I thought I'd try this Barry M one out as I adore the cosmetics line. I'm not gonna lie, I was disappointed. The brush itself is good, it gets the job done so I have no complaints there. After one wash the brush head came away from the handle, not impressed. Not only that, the pink colour of the brush comes off on everything. The colour has bled down the brush and also transfers onto whatever else is in my make up bag. If you need a brush to tide you over, this is an option but for long term use I don't recommend it.</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
<b>Barry M Contour Brush:</b> I picked this up at the same time as my powder brush. I use this brush for my blush as it doesn't work well as a contour brush. I find it's too big to use to contour and far too stiff. Again, this brush doesn't wash well and loses its shape. It's supposed to be an angled brush but the hairs now stick out whatever way they fancy. My lesson from this - don't buy Barry M brushes!</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
<b>No 7 Blush Brush: </b>I use this for contouring as it's small enough to get right under my cheekbones without giving me a huge stripe of contour. I've had this brush for about 4/5 years and it's still alive! It sheds <b>a lot</b>, but until I have the money to invest in a decent brush, this will do. I think it must have only cost me about £5? Bargain.</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
<b>Avon Blush Brush:</b> I did initially use this for blush but I feel it's the wrong shape for it really. The angle and shape of this is perfect for powder highlight. I use it to put highlight on the top of cheekbones, down the nose and the forehead. </div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
What are you favourite brushes for contouring and blush??</div>

Sorry for the lack of posts - I came home from university on Friday (a bit earlier than I was supposed to) and have been so ill since I've been back. I didn't want to miss another Monday Must-Have so made a special effort! I know I have spoken about L'Oreal True Match before, but I have never actually shown it in action! I thought for today's post, I would show you why I love it as much as I do.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C6AiuK_vD24/VIWeT-qj6MI/AAAAAAAAAvo/_QH9borTfzo/s1600/IMG_1842.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C6AiuK_vD24/VIWeT-qj6MI/AAAAAAAAAvo/_QH9borTfzo/s1600/IMG_1842.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First things first, the packaging. I actually really love it compared to most drug store foundations. It's a glass bottle with a silver pump and clear lid. The only problem I have is the mess that ends up in the lid as I feel like I'm wasting so much product. This is a bottle that you know isn't going to break and cover the contents of your make up bag in foundation.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The shade range of True Match is out of this world. With 18 different shades, it already stands out from other drugstore foundations. They have a shade for all skin colours (1-8), including neutral (N), warm (W) and cool (C). As a very fair skinned girl, this is amazing because so many pale foundations have pink undertones and look ridiculous on me. I'm W1 Golden Ivory and although being a tiny bit too dark, blends perfectly to match my neck. I do also have N1 Ivory but left it at home when I went to university as I lost the lid! This is the same as W1 but slightly more pink.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SrW9b2KKa3g/VIWeaHexyKI/AAAAAAAAAwA/xPxd4BRu5IU/s1600/IMG_1872.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SrW9b2KKa3g/VIWeaHexyKI/AAAAAAAAAwA/xPxd4BRu5IU/s1600/IMG_1872.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
True Match is rumoured to be a Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk dupe which I think is pretty impressive. The formula is quite thick but nowhere near as thick as MAC Studio Fix. This foundation blends like an absolute dream. You do need quite a moisturised face underneath or it will cling to dry patches, but with a good moisturiser and primer underneath that's not an issue.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Dt5FFs90PMg/VIWeIXzcVFI/AAAAAAAAAvI/yWxZq8Bc5WQ/s1600/IMG_1832.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Dt5FFs90PMg/VIWeIXzcVFI/AAAAAAAAAvI/yWxZq8Bc5WQ/s1600/IMG_1832.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PR853dzFGWc/VIWeId3afYI/AAAAAAAAAu8/neJ828ZZOzc/s1600/IMG_1818.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PR853dzFGWc/VIWeId3afYI/AAAAAAAAAu8/neJ828ZZOzc/s1600/IMG_1818.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is my face moisturised and primed and as you can see it's quite blemished and scarred. It's looking particularly bad at the moment because I'm unwell. The left side of my face is the worst for scarring so I think it works quite well as a test.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hNGs95A3O3k/VIWeN57OIGI/AAAAAAAAAvY/i1L_mhYBDwo/s1600/IMG_1864.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hNGs95A3O3k/VIWeN57OIGI/AAAAAAAAAvY/i1L_mhYBDwo/s1600/IMG_1864.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ypwrXMiWcJY/VIWeMz7pSWI/AAAAAAAAAvQ/oHBtOZTJYeY/s1600/IMG_1844.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ypwrXMiWcJY/VIWeMz7pSWI/AAAAAAAAAvQ/oHBtOZTJYeY/s1600/IMG_1844.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These pictures are one layer of True Match which is really all you need. My blemishes and scars are covered and some of the discolouration has been covered. For people with clearer skin, you could easily wear this foundation and not need any concealer. I'd say it's medium coverage but could definitely be built up to full coverage. The foundation sets matte but doesn't leave your face looking two-dimensional. I can actually get away without powder on top which is really saying something for my skin!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
At £9.99, this is definitely a foundation that you need to check out. It's perfect for everyday wear and for nights out too. It does have SPF17 but there's hardly any bounce back from flash photography. With a shade range rivalling high end foundations, you'll definitely be able to find a shade to suit your skin tone. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

I've been storing up my empties for a while and keep meaning to do an empties post! I'm going to let you know what products I've used up and whether I'd repurchase them or not.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kAUChPiC1fM/VH2xqxTTKmI/AAAAAAAAAuY/FvuKXO-8jMY/s1600/P1000855.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kAUChPiC1fM/VH2xqxTTKmI/AAAAAAAAAuY/FvuKXO-8jMY/s1600/P1000855.JPG" height="256" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>The Body Shop Skin Clearing Tea Tree Lotion - </b><i>repurchase</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I absolutely adore the tea tree line from The Body Shop. It's great for anyone who has problems with blemished skin as the tea tree helps to soothe spots, reducing size and redness. I use this during the day over the top of my Simple moisturiser as my skin gets really dry in the winter. I've actually already repurchased this!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Korres Citrus Shower Gel - </b><i>won't repurchase</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is a sample that I got in either a Birchbox or a Glossybox a few months ago and I have only just got around to using it up. Although it claims to be a citrus scent, I think it's quite a manly scent sort of like a typical aftershave smell. As I don't particularly want to smell like a man, I won't be repurchasing this. It's also £8 which is insane, I definitely don't have £8 to be spending on shower gel!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Neutrogena T Gel - </b><i>repurchase</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you read my haircare routine you'll know I have problems with eczema on my scalp and this is the only thing that controls it. It's pretty expensive for a shampoo and it absolutely stinks (it's made of coal) but it's a lifesaver for me. Anyone with dandruff or scalp eczema/psoriasis I would definitely recommend trying this and seeing if it helps! I've already repurchased this one too.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro</b> - <i>unsure</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've had this primer for quite a while now and use it in circulation with a few others. It's one that I can't really make my mind up about. It claims to smooth, resurface, brighten, mattify and protect which is quite a lot of claims. Maybe once I've used up all my primers I'll repurchase this but there's definitely better performing ones out there. However, for a drugstore primer this one does perform pretty well and it's only £6.99.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6WXPsOXsZrY/VH2xr-4j0NI/AAAAAAAAAuc/7Ngx9By4uww/s1600/P1000865.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6WXPsOXsZrY/VH2xr-4j0NI/AAAAAAAAAuc/7Ngx9By4uww/s1600/P1000865.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Maybelline Fit Me Concealer Shade 10 (Light) - </b><i>repurchase in a different shade</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For a drugstore concealer, this is amazing. I've heard that it's a dupe for the Nars Creamy Concealer which I really want to purchase but my student budget doesn't stretch that far. The coverage is excellent and it blends amazingly well. When I first bought this the shade range was miniscule. I have shade 10 and it's slightly too dark for me so when I repurchase I'll buy shade 15 (fair). At £5.99, I'll definitely repurchase.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation Shade 51 (Light Vanilla) - </b><i>unsure</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is another product I'm unsure about. Somedays I absolutely love this foundation and others I hate hit. The coverage is quite sheer so it probably performs better at those times where I'm fairly blemish free. It gives a dewy finish which doesn't work so well with my oily skin as after a few hours I end up shining like the sun. If you like sheer coverage with a dewy finish, this is one to try out. Blemished oily skin doesn't work that well with it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Mac Studio Fix Fluid NW20 - </b><i>won't repurchase</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So first things first, this is the <b>completely</b> wrong shade for me. My skin is basically translucent and the woman in Mac matched me completely wrong. If you're buying a foundation from Mac (or anywhere high end), I'd recommend getting matched and trying the foundation on for the day to see what it looks like in different lights before you purchase this. I have to mix this with a really pale foundation to get the right colour and even then I'm not sure if I'd repurchase. It does have really full coverage which is what I look for in a foundation but... I'm just not convinced. It's £21.50 which isn't too expensive for high end. Maybe I'd repurchase if it was the right colour.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hope you enjoyed this post!</div>

I missed another week, sorry! I hope you're enjoying this series when I do post it though. I uploaded my November favourites yesterday so I could put up my Monday Must-Have this week.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My stand out item at the moment is definitely my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I seem to wear more make up in the winter so it's more of a pain to get off. I hate going straight to washing my face and making an absolute mess, so before I wash my face I use this. It works so well at getting the top layer or make up off! You put a little on a cotton pad and wipe it over your face and the majority of your make up is gone. This is said to be a dupe of the Bioderma Micellar Water, although I haven't tried it so can't confirm!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It works pretty well at getting rid of eye make up although I wouldn't recommend it for waterproof mascara. This is a staple in my skincare regime and you can buy it from Savers for only £2.99 for 400ml which is <b>such</b> a bargain. They also sell it in Boots but it's slightly more pricey at £4.99. This is my second bottle and when this one runs out I will definitely get another. They last me absolutely ages. It's perfect for those nights when you're just feeling too lazy to wash your face (don't judge me). I much prefer this to make up wipes as well!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
How is it 1st December tomorrow?! I could not be happier that it's December. December means going home to my family for Christmas and 2 months off university, although I still have exams and coursework cry cry. November has been such a busy month for me so I'm glad to see the back of it! Onto the favourites...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XPnp8MtPnh8/VHceB8Y-urI/AAAAAAAAAtM/h-Q07HQQ2gE/s1600/P1000798.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XPnp8MtPnh8/VHceB8Y-urI/AAAAAAAAAtM/h-Q07HQQ2gE/s1600/P1000798.JPG" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>St Ives Blemish Fighting Apricot Scrub</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I featured this in my <a href="http://vanillabeautyx.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/autumnwinter-skincare-update.html" target="_blank">Autumn/Winter skincare update</a> a couple of weeks ago, it's a definite favourite of mine this month. My skin has been breaking out like crazy and my pores look horrible and clogged, but this is definitely helping. Although it says it's a daily scrub, I would no way use it daily as I think it's too abrasive. This smells amazing and the big grains in it to really clear out your pores and leave your skin looking fresher. There's actually 4 different types of this scrub - blemish fighting, invigorating, gentle and renew & firm - so if you want a good quality scrub but don't have problems with blemishes I would try one of the others!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>L'Oreal True Match</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think this is possibly my favourite foundation, although I do change my mind weekly. The coverage is amazing, it lasts quite a long time and gives your skin a gorgeous finish without looking cakey. The shade range is out of this world which is rare for a drugstore foundation so you'll definitely be able to find a shade to suit your skin tone. If you're a lover of medium coverage foundation and you haven't tried this foundation yet, go and do it!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Maybelline Great Lash Mascara - Waterproof</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
When I first got this I wasn't sure about it, I wanted a cheap, everyday waterproof mascara to keep the curl in place and that's exactly what it does. I wouldn't say that it does anything amazing in terms of length or volume but for the price I think it's really good. I use it on my top lashes, after I have curled them, as a thin base coat and also on my bottom lashes as the wind and cold makes my eyes water.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Mac Prep + Prime Skin</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'd love to tell you how I got my hands on this tester but I can't remember which is heartbreaking. Full size is quite pricey (£21), although not as expensive as Porefessional, but this primer is <b>definitely</b> worth the money. It's a creamy, silicone formula that applies to the skin really easily and sinks in straight away. My skin is so smooth after using it, foundation blends out so easily and doesn't cake anywhere. I don't think this does anything to control my shine but some powder sorts that out. There's a number of different Prep + Prime, all targeting different things (I need to get my hands on the Skin Refined Zone) and if they're all like this, I definitely recommend checking the line out. Some of the others are more expensive than this but if you have the money to spend..!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Urban Decay Naked 3</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I could not have been more excited when I got this. My boyfriend came to visit and bought it for me as a little treat and I have used it nearly every day since. I got the Naked 3 rather than 1 or 2 as I have pale skin and blue eyes which the rosey shades compliment amazingly. It comes with 4 primers, each with about a weeks supply in and they make the eyeshadows last even longer than usual. The pigmentation is amazing, they're so easy to blend and the colours.. Oh my god I can't even describe them. You need to put one of these on your Christmas list!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Let me know in the comments what you've been loving this month.</div>

<div dir="ltr">
</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's the weekend!! When I spent an insane amount of money in The Body Shop, I got a free goodie bag that included a sample of their <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/bath-body-care/view-all-bath-body/vitamin-e-sink-in-moisture-mask.aspx?tmcampid=38&tmad=c&tmplaceref=c|&tmclickref=&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=sem&utm_campaign=Bath%20&%20Body%20Care&utm_term=&utm_content=Bath%20&%20Body%20Care&kpid=94430&gclid=Cj0KEQiA-uWjBRChu9ie05m5ipgBEiQAuHIuKxG-pS5fmiNeUraiEH9y4rdAh9DjWUU3xig-5pFacIkaAoZy8P8HAQ" target="_blank">Vitamin E Sink In Moisture Mask</a>. As my skin gets dry in winter and I'm gonna be honest, I've been neglecting my skin, I decided it was time to try this out and inject some moisture back into my face. I'm a big fan of the Vitamin E line. If you're a frequent reader, you'll know how much I love the Serum-in-Oil.</div>
<div>
<br />
<div dir="ltr">
I'm normally a clay mask kind of girl as I like to target my pores, so this is something completely new to me. The mask itself is white with a creamy consistency. You apply to the skin in a thin layer and leave to sink in for ten minutes before removing. The creamy consistency means it's easy to apply and you don't need much. The tester sachet says enough for one mask but I probably could have got two out of it. It's quite strange to remove as it sets to a sort of think cream but that doesn't put me off.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cD02GxEZFlY/VHmSo9N5YwI/AAAAAAAAAuA/MJAEZCzsnBE/s1600/P1000836.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cD02GxEZFlY/VHmSo9N5YwI/AAAAAAAAAuA/MJAEZCzsnBE/s1600/P1000836.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr">
My skin is SO SOFT. I genuinely don't think my skin has ever felt this soft and hydrated. I'm really looking forward to applying my make up tomorrow and seeing if it applies any easier. This is one that you really need to try out if you have dry skin. If you want to test it out before buying a whole tub, the sachet I had was only £2! At £13 for a 100ml tub, it's so inexpensive and will go a long way (almost 20 applications). I'm planning on purchasing a tub when I finally have some money again!</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Recommend me some face masks in the comments!</div>

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-t2AxJGsuQ-k/VHcd50IQ3EI/AAAAAAAAAs4/Laxha1iQJXU/s1600/P1000776.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-t2AxJGsuQ-k/VHcd50IQ3EI/AAAAAAAAAs4/Laxha1iQJXU/s1600/P1000776.JPG" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I'm always so interested in other peoples make-up brushes and what they use them for (just because it says foundation brush it doesn't have to be that!). I thought I'd do a post about my brushes, what I use them for and which I'd recommend, I then decided to turn it into 3 posts otherwise it's going to be <b>way</b> too long.<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-X0scD-iGF7Y/VHcd4F0YE2I/AAAAAAAAAss/RQ9u9aLow3c/s1600/P1000780.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-X0scD-iGF7Y/VHcd4F0YE2I/AAAAAAAAAss/RQ9u9aLow3c/s1600/P1000780.JPG" height="256" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">L-R: Beauty Blender, Primark foundation and concealer brush, No 7 foundation brush, Real Techniques detailer brush, Real Techniques pointed foundation brush, Real Techniques buffing brush</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Beauty Blender:</b> I use my Beauty Blender probably 50% of the time (you can see from the colour it's well loved). I actually have 2 Beauty Blenders and a TopShop sponge that's similar which I think they have stopped selling. You can't buy Beauty Blenders from high street stores which is a shame, but you can find them quite cheap from Amazon or on the <a href="http://www.beautyblender.co.uk/product/beautyblender_classic/" target="_blank">Beauty Blender</a> website. You can buy dupes from any drugstore though - Real Techniques and Models Own do them at a fraction of the price. I find that Beauty Blenders work better with some foundations than others, and it's a bit of trial and error to work out what looks best. Beauty Blenders are made to be used wet as they absorb less of the foundation and make it easier to blend out, leaving you with an amazing finish. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Foundation brushes: </b>I don't actually use foundation brushes anymore. When I first started getting into make up, these were all I used but now I'd rather use my Beauty Blender or buffing brush. I feel like foundation brushes give you brush strokes on your face and that's just not what I want. I do occasionally go back to them if I'm feeling like mixing it up a bit. If you like foundation brushes, the Primark one is such good quality and so cheap (£1.50 or £2 I think). If you're just starting out in make up it's definitely one to try out if you don't want to spend too much money on a brush. My No 7 one has been going for about 5 years now, I think that says it all. The Real Techniques pointed foundation brush is way too small to be used as a foundation brush but works really well for concealer under the eyes. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Detailer brush: </b>The detailer brush is the perfect size for applying concealer to spots, I use it with my Erase Paste and it's a dream combo. You can also use this as a lip brush. Real Techniques brushes are such good quality and don't come with a big price tag. I got the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Real-Techniques-Core-Collection-1403_1252038/" target="_blank">Core Collection</a> from Boots for £21.99 which is amazing for a set of 4 brushes. They don't shed and wash without losing shape or quality.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Buffing brush: </b>This is probably my favourite way to apply foundation at the moment. Although this is meant to be used for powder foundation, I use it with liquid foundation. I stipple the foundation onto my skin and then buff it out. Buffing your foundation means that it's really sinking into the skin instead of sitting on top of it and looking cakey, it also makes it last longer. Out of all these brushes, this is the one I'd recommend to anyone. You get a flawless, even finish and make up that lasts.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What do you use to apply your base? I'm always on the lookout for a new face brush!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--nkC_yKomek/VG3-txUWQTI/AAAAAAAAAsQ/l8JQ2Af6cis/s1600/P1000770.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--nkC_yKomek/VG3-txUWQTI/AAAAAAAAAsQ/l8JQ2Af6cis/s1600/P1000770.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I thought it was about time to do a hair post and tell you my little secrets to keeping my hair healthy. When I have my hair cut, I only have to have a tiny amount cut off because I'm surprisingly good at keeping it healthy (sorry for blowing my own trumpet).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Washing</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I wash my hair every 2-3 days depending on how lazy I am. If I want to go a little longer I use the Batiste Dry Shampoo to soak up some of the grease! To be honest, I use whatever shampoo and conditioner is cheap but at the moment I'm using the Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo - The Silky Smoother and Herbal Essences Bee Strong Conditioner. I do have to use T-Gel shampoo once a week as I have eczema on my head and this is the only thing that controls it. I shampoo once (twice if it's been a while since I last washed my hair) and comb my conditioner through my hair, then leave it on while I wash my body.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once I am out of the shower, I either put OGX Coconut Oil mist on or my KMS California Tame Frizz creme to keep my hair soft and silky. Most nights, that will be it and I'll go to bed with wet hair but I sometimes put it in french plaits with some Toni & Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray to give me waves in the morning. If I'm blow dry my hair (this only happens about once a week because I'm lazy and have a lot of hair), I'll use my Dove Heat Protect Spray and comb that through my hair with my Tangle Teezer.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Cut</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I probably have my hair cut about every 8-10 weeks? It depends whether I can afford it! Hair cuts are a luxury for me. I have a very small amount taken off each time because I don't get many split ends and I'm trying to grow my hair out (it's currently just above my bra strap yay!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Dying etc</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I dyed/bleached my hair for probably about 6 years. My hair has been bleach blonde, brown and copper and is now my natural colour which is somewhere between blonde and strawberry blonde (I'm slightly ginger and okay with it). Colouring your hair is probably the worst thing you can do to it. In those 6 years my hair was brittle, dry and I always had split ends. Every time I had my hair cut I would have to have loads taken off. Eventually, my hair started breaking from the bleach and I had to completely stop dying my hair and have it all cut off. I'm talking waist length to just below the shoulders. Now my hair is completely natural it has never felt or looked better!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What's your hair care staple?</div>

<span style="color: #060000; font-family: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: 1.81em; text-align: justify;">Either lipsticks and foundation. <span style="color: #060000; font-family: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: 1.81em; text-align: justify;">Definitely foundation - my skin is so scarred from acne and although I do sometimes go out with no make up on, foundation definitely makes me feel happier about my skin. <div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #060000; line-height: 28.9599990844727px;">In comparison to most beauty bloggers, it probably isn't massive but it's <b style="color: #060000; line-height: 28.9599990844727px;">way</b><span style="color: #060000; line-height: 28.9599990844727px;"> bigger than it needs to be. <tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Please ignore my insanely cheesy grin</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Disclaimer: I am not a professional, I do not have fitness or nutritional training, I'm simply telling you what works for me.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Weight has always been a battle for me: I've been underweight, I've been overweight and I've been fit and muscly, but one thing is for sure <b>I am in love with food</b>. I have been on fad-diets and calorie restricted diets and it only ends in misery for me because I can't eat the food that I want to eat.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I go through phases of going to the gym and doing my physiotherapy and phases where I spend 99% of my day sat on my bum. The most important thing is finding something that works for you and something you enjoy doing. I don't weigh myself, I don't take any kind of measurement of my body, I purely assess my body on how my clothes are fitting and how I feel in myself.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Exercise</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I absolutely love running but can't do it because I have weak knees so I had to find something else that works for me. I go to Fitness First where they do Les Mills classes which I really enjoy and they have such a wide range of classes. A lot of gyms are now incorporating Les Mills or other similar classes into their timetables. Some of my favourites are:</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: center;"><i>BodyPump</i> - 'light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, giving you a total body workout'. It involves lots of reps of things like squats, chest presses and deadlifts. Classes normally run for an hour and you hit every part of your body - legs, chest, back, triceps, biceps, lunges, shoulders and core. This is probably my favourite class out of all the ones I do.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;"><i>RPM</i> - I'm sure everyone knows what spin/RPM is. It's an excellent cardio workout and amazing for burning calories. It really targets your legs and bum, the areas I want to tone up and make more muscly. My love for spin is slightly saddistic.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;"><i>BodyBalance</i> - a mix of yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates and is really good for stretching out your body and building up strength based on bodyweight. I don't feel like this is a really intense work out but it's good for just chilling out if you've had a stressful!</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I try and go to the gym as much as I can - some weeks that's 6 days a week and some it's only 2 but I do whatever I can fit in. If you can only exercise twice a week then do that, even that little bit will help. If I'm really not in the mood to go, I try to remind myself that 1. I'm paying for my gym membership so I should probably make the most of it and 2. my mood will be a million times better after going to the gym.</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you can't go to the gym - swim, walk, run, anything that gets you moving!</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Eating</b></div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now, first things first <b>food is the best thing ever</b>, my life absolutely revolves around it. I spend every minute of my day thinking about what my next meal will be (don't act like you're not the same). I try to eat 'healthy' 80% of the time and then I know the majority of my meals are healthy. I find that the less you have sugar and 'bad' food, the less you crave it. If I've had a really bad day of food, I try to have a really good day of food the next day to counteract it. I don't ever feel guilty for eating something 'bad' or 'naughty', I know that I've earned eating it and one little thing isn't going to reverse all my progress.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Eating healthy at university can be difficult because vegetables and fruit are very expensive and there's no way I get my 5-a-day in, but I do the best I can and buy a lot of frozen vegetables as they're cheaper. I perform best at the gym when I'm eating good, nutritious food and find my workouts really suffer if I've been eating badly.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Don't cut whole food groups out. </b>I have seen 2 of my friends make themselves lactose intolerant by cutting out dairy completely. If you're going on a vegan bender then fine - but before you cut lactose out consider if you'll want to eat it again. Can you really go without cheese and ice cream?!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have soy milk but still eat normal cheese and have normal milk when I go to Starbucks etc so my body keeps processing lactose. I have however, made myself intolerant to white bread by completely cutting it out. I now try to eat a balance of white and brown pasta because becoming intolerant to white pasta would just be heartbreaking. Carbs, protein and fat are essential for your body to keep functioning. Cutting one of these groups out is not a healthy way to loose weight and it's not really that healthy.</div>

<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mv4MluTb6hw/VGy1f5He_PI/AAAAAAAAAqw/2uhQkB_GrSQ/s1600/P1000735.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mv4MluTb6hw/VGy1f5He_PI/AAAAAAAAAqw/2uhQkB_GrSQ/s1600/P1000735.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Since discovering primers I have become a huge fan and now don't go a day without wearing one. I do have quite a large collection, as I'm sure most beauty addicts do, but there's two that really stand out to me as amazing. Both of these primers have made quite a fuss in the beauty world but which one to buy?!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WRuYyReZoik/VGy1gKkyKWI/AAAAAAAAAq8/NfC_Un4s0pg/s1600/P1000739.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WRuYyReZoik/VGy1gKkyKWI/AAAAAAAAAq8/NfC_Un4s0pg/s1600/P1000739.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Benefit Porefessional</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #666666; line-height: 16px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><i>"Quickly minimise the appearance of pores & fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin! Apply this silky, lightweight balm alone, under or over makeup. Translucent, oil-free formula complements all skintones and helps makeup stay put. Contains a Vitamin E derivative, known to protect skin from free radicals."</i></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Porefessional is probably the Holy Grail of primers in the beauty world. <b>Everyone</b> has been raving about it and it's the UK's top selling primer for the past 3 years. Impressive right? Retailing for £24.50 for 22ml, it's quite pricey and, I don't know about you, but I would definitely struggle justifying the spend. That being said, mine is a tester size and has lasted me a pretty long time as you only need a tiny amount.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The packaging is so cute, as with all Benefit packaging (although mine is covered in liquid eyeliner). This product is so creamy and a dream to apply as long as you've moisturised your skin. I find that if my skin is at all dry then this can be quite difficult to apply and doesn't blend out that well. It sinks into your skin amazingly well and you wouldn't even know it was there. The formula has a beigey tint but it blends out to colourless on your skin.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm not sure I'd agree that it minimises the appearance of my pores but my make up goes on so smoothly and blends out really well. My foundation definitely lasts better throughout the day and the shine is kept at bay for longer (something I really struggle with).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7JewvUfK4jA/VGy1geYMPNI/AAAAAAAAAq0/J0UUJfjCr6M/s1600/P1000740.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7JewvUfK4jA/VGy1geYMPNI/AAAAAAAAAq0/J0UUJfjCr6M/s1600/P1000740.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>The Body Shop Instablur</b></div>
<div class="introduction" style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #4d4d4d; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: 16.7479152679443px; margin-bottom: 5px; padding: 0px; text-align: center; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><i>"This all-new face perfector blurs imperfections, giving you flawless photo-perfect skin in an instant! With Community Fair Trade marula oil. <span style="font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit;">Shine controlling 12h, r</span><span style="font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit;">educes appearance of pores, b</span><span style="font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit;">lemish hiding, c</span><span style="font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit;">omplexion unifying and m</span></i></span><span style="font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><i>ake-up extending"</i></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think this is my favourite ever primer (a bold claim I know). Instablur is the cheaper of the two at £14 for 25ml and, in my opinion, the better. I actually think I prefer the packaging of this one but that wouldn't affect which one I buy!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The texture is much more siliconey than Porefessional and can feel slightly greasy on the skin until it has sunk in, but after your skin is amazingly smooth. It's a translucent formula which I personally prefer and feels a lot more velvety on the skin. If I compare the two, my make up definitely looks best at the end of the day with this one although I might be a bit shinier. The same as Porefessional, you only need a tiny amount so the tube goes a long way.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Which one is for you?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After convincing a couple of the girls to buy Instablur and try it out, I was discussing which they preferred and we agreed this sums it up in one - <b>Instablur is best for the day time</b>, it prolongs the wear of your make up and smooths out your complexion without making you look too matte. <b>Porefessional is fantastic for nights out </b>because it really mattifies your skin and helps to control shine.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you're on a budget or have dry skin, I'd definitely try the Instablur first to see how it works for you. Personally, I don't think I will ever purchase a full size of Porefessional but I will definitely repurchase Instablur.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There's two lines of the Lasting Finish set - matte (4 shades ranging from red to pink) and normal (15 shades from nude to red to pink!). I definitely prefer the original range to the matte range simply because I think they look nicer on the lips. I have the shades 30, which is a gorgeous raspberry red colour, 107, a matte red with slightly brown undertone, and 22, a bright red with orange undertones (see me wearing it <a href="http://vanillabeautyx.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/outfit-of-day.html" target="_blank">here</a>). These are the perfect colour for winter and brilliant if you're just starting out with bold lips because there's such a wide shade range and they're so inexpensive. The lipsticks are <b>really</b> pigmented, don't slide off your lips and last for absolutely ages (I normally have to scrub mine off my lips). Once I have money again after Christmas I'm definitely going to go and pick some more up.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the downside, I also have the shade 113 which is a true nude and is really drying (may have been discontinued). It sets into all the cracks in my lips and makes me look like my body hasn't ever had water.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Any shades to recommend for my next spree?!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
It's quite a challenge in the autumn to keep warm, be comfy and look nice at the same time. I spend the majority of my time wanting to be wrapped up and in comfy bottoms but equally don't want to be walking round campus looking like I've just got out of bed.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
One of my go-to outfits in autumn is disco pants/wet look leggings with a big jumper, scarf and my leather jacket. I either wear boots or Uggs depending on whether it's meant to rain or not (the majority of the time in Bath it is) and try to do my make up a bit nicer than usual so I don't look like a complete slob!</div>

<img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pM0qLBWm5yM/VGTDRPQjPJI/AAAAAAAAAnc/CVlJJoihoSI/s320/P1000682.JPG" width="320" /></div>
<br />
It's been quite a while since my last skincare post (it was actually one of my first posts, read it <a href="http://vanillabeautyx.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/skincare-saviours.html" target="_blank">here</a>) so I thought it was time to do a skincare update. Now it's getting colder and very windy, my skin is a lot drier and I also tend to suffer from eczema in winter around my nose and on my chin. A few months ago I made the decision to stop taking antibiotics for my acne as although they were making my skin clearer, they were an absolute pain to take and to be perfectly honest, I can't afford the prescription. My skin is <b>by no means</b> perfect, I still suffer with acne but my skincare routine is really helping to control it to a certain extent.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YF6z1CS91lk/VGTDPIP3iTI/AAAAAAAAAnM/2kj5haz4Qm4/s1600/IMG_1627.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YF6z1CS91lk/VGTDPIP3iTI/AAAAAAAAAnM/2kj5haz4Qm4/s320/IMG_1627.jpg" width="240" /></a><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ubb8-DSM7sE/VGTDPFJtEDI/AAAAAAAAAnQ/_n0x97T04xQ/s1600/IMG_1631.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ubb8-DSM7sE/VGTDPFJtEDI/AAAAAAAAAnQ/_n0x97T04xQ/s320/IMG_1631.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As you can see, I still have a lot of blemishes but the number and size of them has dramatically reduced. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Morning</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I start the day by cleansing my skin with the <a href="http://www.superdrug.com/Garnier/Garnier-Cleansing-Micellar-Lotion-400ml/p/809257#.VGTG0FOsVwQ" target="_blank">Garnier Micellar Water</a> on a cotton pad, just to get off the leftover product from the night before and any other rubbish on my face. If I'm having a break out, I will sweep <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/tea-tree/tea-tree-facial-toner.aspx" target="_blank">The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner</a> over my skin. I moisturise with the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Simple-Kind-To-Skin-Replenishing-Rich-Moisturiser-125ml_8366/" target="_blank">Simple Kind to Skin Rich Moisturiser</a> as I have a number of dry patches on my face at the moment although the majority of my face is still oily. If my face is extra dry, I'll also use my <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/tea-tree/tea-tree-skin-clearing-lotion.aspx" target="_blank">The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion</a>. Before I put any primer or make up on my skin, I put tea tree oil on any spots I have to try and calm them down a bit!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Evening</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I <b>always</b> take my make up off before I go to the gym. I live in the hope that sweating at the gym will get some of the impurities out of my skin and that can't happen if my pores are clogged with make up! A year or so ago, I would never have gone to the gym without make up on but now I couldn't care less. I take my make up off with the Garnier Micellar Water and if I have any waterproof mascara or liquid eyeliner on I'll use <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/camomile/camomile-gentle-eye-make-up-remover.aspx" target="_blank">The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make Up Remover</a>. When I get back from the gym and shower, I wash my face using my <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/tea-tree/tea-tree-skin-clearing-foaming-cleanser.aspx" target="_blank">The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser</a>. If I'm washing my hair (normally every other day usually), I will use the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/St-Ives-Blemish-Fighting-Facial-Scrub-150ml_1110527/?cm_mmc=pla-_-google-_-PLAs-_-Boots+Shopping+-+Category+-+Beauty" target="_blank">St Ives Blemish Fighting Apricot Scrub</a>. Before I go to sleep I use my trusty <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/vitamin-e/vitamin-e-overnight-serum-in-oil-28ml.aspx" target="_blank">The Body Shop Vitamin E Serum-in-Oil</a> and let that soak in a bit before using <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/tea-tree/tea-tree-night-lotion.aspx" target="_blank">The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion</a> and <a href="https://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk/product/view/its-potent-eye-cream" target="_blank">Benefit It's Potent eye cream</a>. I think I need to branch out from The Body Shop...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I can't stress the importance of finding a skincare routine that works for you, it's honestly makes such a difference to my skin, both blemish wise and how my make up applies. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Which skincare products do you swear by?</div>

<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1sD2meB0wsw/VGJND4_-fzI/AAAAAAAAAm8/rbTC6rnMqYs/s1600/10643958_1541331266096216_1285685103_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1sD2meB0wsw/VGJND4_-fzI/AAAAAAAAAm8/rbTC6rnMqYs/s320/10643958_1541331266096216_1285685103_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
When you're at university, long distance relationships seem to be a really common thing. Everybody tells you how difficult it is to make long distance relationships work and I don't disagree at all, but there's definitely ways to make it easier on yourself.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-weight: bold;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>1. If your hearts are both in it, it'll work</b></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm now in my second long distance relationship, the first didn't work out but I have been with my boyfriend for 10 months and we're going from strength to strength. If you don't have faith in your relationship, trust in each other and confidence that it's going to work you'll find it difficult.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>2. Trust each other</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I know this is easier said than done but if you don't trust your boyfriend/girlfriend, your relationship is going to be 100 times more difficult. I have been with people I don't trust and it drove me insane. I know I can go on a night out and my boyfriend will trust me and vice versa. If you can't go out without your other half getting angry with you, you probably need to have a talk.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>3. Plan when you're going to see each other</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I find that knowing when I'm going to see my boyfriend makes waiting that little bit easier. It's still incredibly difficult but being able to count down the days makes it seem a bit quicker. I see my boyfriend every 2 or 3 weeks and we take it in turns - one time he comes to Bath and the next I go home.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>4. See it as a test</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This will most likely be the biggest test of your relationship - distance will either make you stronger or will tear you apart. Work to make the relationship as good as it can be and remember that every moment apart is going to make you stronger when you're together. When I haven't seen my boyfriend for a couple of weeks, the time that we get together is so precious and it breaks my heart when he leaves but we're stronger than we have ever been.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>5. FaceTime/Skype</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I go to sleep that little bit later than I should each night so I have an opportunity to FaceTime my boyfriend as we're both incredibly busy during the day. If you don't have a chance to speak during the day, this time in the evening is vital so you can catch up on your days.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>6. Don't hide your feelings</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you're feeling down, anxious, scared - let them know. Don't hide your worries about the relationship and let them build up until you see each other and they explode. Even if it seems silly, if it's bugging you then say it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>7. Expect bumps in the road</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Not every moment is going to be perfect. There'll still be arguments, times where you miss each other a painful amount and days where you don't get to talk much. You just need to work through these and see the light at the other end of the tunnel.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>8. Stay Happy</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If it's not making you happy - don't do it. Don't stay in a relationship that makes you more unhappy than it makes you happy.</div>
